Review of Young Einstein (1988) by Ryan D — 18 May 2008

The thing that irritates me about this comedy is that it has such parodic potential, but blows every four out of five jokes. Sometimes it shows a real spark of creativity, and I especially enjoyed how the visual comedy and the music sometimes combine to create a "cartoonish" pun, but this is relatively rare among a lot of otherwise pretty boring jokes. Yahoo Serious in the lead gives a decent performance and his character is quite lovable in its childish naivity, but he could have been shining with better narrative material.

All in all this is simply a to unfunny and conventially told story to be truly enjoyable.
