Review of Young and Innocent (1937) by Kevin M. W — 06 Nov 2018
Once again a early work by Hitchcock that makes me think that his English years were his best years. The wrong man (the photogenic Derrick De Marney), accused of murder (And the rational behind this is not really important) and on the run, falls for the young woman (the equally photogenic Nova Pilbeam) who helps him try to prove his innocence.
Romance While On The Run it might've been called. It's a sterling presentation all in all, and perhaps proof for those Brits that there's was a superior culture. Hitchcock's England is indeed enchanting.
Loved this.
