Thorough and well-rounded treatment of a perhaps controversial subject. Yet after watching this I was left with the overriding question "what is so controversial about this after all?" I could sense the motivations of Isabelle and they are explicable (I see other viewers claim to be mystified).

If you're judging her or any of the other characters in this film you're probably not being honest with yourself. It got me thinking: Perhaps the events aren't as unusual or uncommon as we think.

Great film, sexually charged of course, but thought provoking and insightful. The only thing that provoked an inappropriate reaction in me was when the unexpected happens, the crucial turning point in the plot, and by rights shocking - only I couldn't help laughing at the comedy in it!
