Review of Young Adult (2011) by Mloy X — 08 Dec 2012
Young Adult isn't exactly a feel good movie, but it does serve as a powerful character study of someone who hasn't quite moved on from her adolescence. The sharp writing and acting stand out as the highlights of the film for me, with Charlize Theron and Patton Oswalt both delivering very convincing performances.
Certain plot points don't feel as well thought out as others, but otherwise, I'd say Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody have delivered another great film.
