Review of Young Adam (2003) by Scott G — 14 Aug 2007
Drama set in glasgow scotland, ewan mcgregor plays joe a drifter, who works the canals, on a badge which is owned by les and his wife ella, peter mullan and tolda swinton, unknown to les, his wife and joe are having a affair, sometimes down below when hes driving, while travelling to edinburgh they discover a body floating, they report it to the police, we are told through flashbacks that the woman played by emily mortimor is indeed linked to joe, who were in a relationship, and was there reasons to her turning up dead by him, whilst in the present the triangle trelationship grows more intence, eeryones grest here, mcgregor as always on top form, and using his scott acent for a change, mullen and swinton are great also, the film looks great as well, with really grainy 5os set glasgow really showing, and a great outcome, as to why mcgregors charactor acts the way he does, check it out.
