Review of You Were Never Really Here (2017) by Dragodorits — 21 Jun 2020

This film is an absolute must-see! The acting is phenomenal (outside of the kid actor), the action is very inspired (violent but rather tasteful), and the bizarre scenes and music are very brave, and in my opinion, excellent.

The quick flashes of exposition that help us learn more about Phoenix's character that are littered throughout the movie are amazing. The writing is immaculate and very surprising when appropriate; and the writer is not afraid to have long scenes.
