This bond film definitely did not age very well. The premise did not work well for the special effects available at the time. While I don't mind bad special effects, they didn't really obey the laws of physics and such when it came to space travel so it made it look even cheesier.

And of course this type of movie helped create the stereotype of the bad guy not just shooting the good guy when you have the chance. He escaped multiple times in this movie simply because they tried to kill him in some elaborate way, instead of just shooting him.
