Connery and the first two thirds of this Bond film are terrific and then all of a sudden it completely falls apart in the 3rd act. Bond's looking for Blofeld's hideout on the island. Four helicopters attack him.
This should be a clue he's close (and NO ONE on the island noticed a rocket ship blasting off three times???). But no instead of landing or doing some sort of commando assault on the island, he has to train to be a Ninja, disguise himself as a Japanese and get married to a Japanese girl? All while the clock is ticking? It's just an incredible mess.
No wonder after this Connery said "sayonara" to the part.
