Ever since I first read its plot, I always had a deep yearning to watch You Only Live Twice: and I'll admit it, the reason being that it was set in Asia. Needless to say, it didn't disappoint me throughout at all.

You Only Live Twice was slightly fast-paced in the first half and slightly slow-paced in the second, but the ultimate unraveling of all those hidden secrets in that famous volcano crater, where Ernst Stavro Blofeld is hiding, was most delightful.

But one thing was defective: how come Bond always has such impossible narrow shaves? Why on earth didn't Blofeld just finish him off, instead of gloating on about his world domination plans while he leisurely sabotaged his plans? To me, this was slightly out of line with all the previous Bond flicks (because no such maligned impossibilities occurred in those), but finally, I did manage to relish You Only Live Twice by dispensing with all those petty no-nos.

It has a really sexy Bond girl (though, sad to say, only the first - Aki - was good. Kissy Suzuki was just plain horrible as a Girl). Plus of course those fight scenes and escape sequences that were simply dazzling to look at.

Overall, I firmly think that this is one of the most action-packed and steamy Bond features ever concocted, and any Bond fan will enjoy it, in spite of it having a first quick-paced half and a second slow-paced one.
