Roald Dahl pays his respects to buddy and series creator Ian Fleming by tossing the novel out the window and turning Bond into Batman. The only trouble with going this over the top is that it can't be done again without tiring out the premise, but for now the franchise has eclipsed Thunderball and has everything to lose.

Thanks for setting the bar high enough that it bangs like hell on the way down, Dahl!
