For many this is a very fun and sexy bond piece. For me it is the worst one yet. Kinda boring all the time, sexist, racist, and techno addicted. Not fun, no style, and the story, although it stands as the classic bad guy in volcano cliche, doesn't really build up any suspense.
Maybe I should have liked this more, but it just felt flat. I love Donald Pleasence, I liked him in this film, but his final fight with Bond was not satisfying. It's shocking that Austin Powers borrowed so much from this film, and yet it feels so much better and fresh.
