Review of You, Me and Dupree (2006) by William R — 08 Jan 2011
This film starts with the wedding between Carl and Molly. Finding himself in need of a home and without a job, Carl agrees to let Dupree stay for a couple of days until he gets back on his feet. So begins the premise of this movie where Dupree's laid back and easy living attitude clashes with the uptight and grown-up lifestyle of his married friends.
This type of character is typical of Owen Wilson. Carl and Molly's marriage is not helped by her dad's attitude to the marriage. Matt Dillon and Michael Douglas do a terrific job and their characters are totally believable.
This film was very funny and I enjoyed it immensely. Owen Wilson and Seth Rogen are two of my favourite comic actors. I know this film isn't perfect but, for being so entertaining.
