Review of You Don't Mess with the Zohan (2008) by Jack S — 06 Dec 2010
This movie is notable in that it must be about the first comedy about Arab-Israeli politics ever made by Hollywood. Adam Sandler (himself a Jew) co-wrote what for him is a rather typically silly and raunchy comedy.
Undoubtedly inspired by "Borat", but this lacks anywhere near the quality of that particular laugh-fest. Sandler is never going to be everyone's cup of tea, but personally, I like his style of comedy and "You Don't Mess with the Zohan" delivers some good laughs for most of the movie, before falling completely flat towards the end.
