Review of You Don't Mess with the Zohan (2008) by Brian S — 20 Jan 2012
Adam Sandlers continues his track record of constantly making me laugh. Its obvious why his movie make so much money; he's a funny, talented guy. He plays Zohan with a great sense of satire on the Jewish stereotypes and even promotes a good message regarding the war with Palestinians.
The first 2/3 of this movie made me laugh out loud nonstop. The hair cut scenes are just priceless as well as the over the top action. Towards the end, the film detours into stupidity and the jokes go bad.
Rob Schneider, although I usually enjoy his other work in Sandler films, brings the comedy down a couple notches. He tries to hard to be funny as a guy from Palestine against the Zohan. But I'd still recommend on the count of the hilariousness of the majority of the movie.
