I like Adam Sandler. I like Happy Gilmore and I like Billy Madison. What I don't like is 'Happy Madison', Sandler's Production company. Celver name, yes, but some of the films that this company produces are the lamest, unfunniest, stupidest "comedies" ever.

This outing, 'You Don't Mess With the Zohan' is about an Israeli soldier who fakes his death, flees his country so he can start a new life in the USA and fulfil his dream as a hairdresser.

The script is godawful. Not only is it a mess but it's pretty racist. It tries to mask this racism by sloppily piecing together a moral theme where Palestinians and Israelis can live together in harmony.

It's treated really poorly and doesn't make up for the clear racism in the film. And not many people will notice, but it's not only racist to middle-easterns. Australia never had apartheid.

That's South Africa. The comment wasn't even satirical. They actually thought Australia was under aparteid. That offended me. And the jokes are extremely lame and unfunny, and vulgar. Yes, I like vulgar comedies when done right ('There's Something About Mary', 'Austin Powers' for eg.

), but this is quite gratuitous. What I did like about the movie was the few humourous moments, like the corporate magnate talking about his hot wife, Kevin Nealon as the community watch member, and Nick Swardson as Michael, the cyclist that befriends Zohan.

I think I like him the more he appears in these lame films. Oh! And John Turturro performing the Rocky montage.
