Review of You Don't Know Jack (2010) by Goran M — 05 Sep 2010
Wooow, so impressive, an outstanding biopic/drama. This movie tells a story about the work of the very well known Dr. Jack Kevorkian, about his practices and never ending debut about his work and the philosophy of this controversial subject, of bringing the concept of respecting the patients right to end his suffering on his own terms, to have a peaceful and painless end to their fast fading agonizing lives and the whole concept of assisted suicide in America.
Pacino brings a monster performance, definitely a career high, it doesn't take him more than a minute to convince you he's Kevorkian. This movie holds strong on the doctors side, but still doesn't dismiss or trivialize the opposing side, if fact it tries to make a difference, it's tries to engage the public on this topic that truly matters.
Fantastic piece of cinema!
