Review of You Don't Know Jack (2010) by Brent C — 05 Jul 2011
This was a very good biopic of the now late Dr. Jack Kevorkian made just before his death. It really shows what a colourful character he was and how passionately he believed in what he was doing. You do get the sense he enjoyed the limelight he received although it came with a lot of negative atttention as well.
I found the court proceedings quite interesting as I knew very little of them along with the close relationship he had with his lawyer. The circumstances around his final trial where he was ultimately convicted were especially interesting.
What would probably have been an average movie is put over the top by the presence of Pacino who gives a tour de force performance as Kevorkian. Another great HBO film.
