Review of You Don't Know Jack (2010) by Lizbeth A — 21 Nov 2010
Pacino lays the accent on a bit thick, but other than that his performance is one of the best he's given in a while. While I support the spirit of what Jack Kevorkian fights for, even I think he might be a little over the top at points, and this film does not shy away from that.
It shows Kevorkian for who he is, and doesn't attempt to glamor up his positions on assisted suicide or a person's right to end their own life. Pacino is supported by some great actors, especially John Goodman and Danny Huston who are both great.
This is also a return to form for Barry Levinson, who hasn't made a good movie in a long time, but clearly still has the ability to, given the right material.
