Review of You Can't Take It with You (1938) by Nandi C — 24 Jul 2007
At first this film starts a bit stilted, but as you get into it, you cannot help but smile at it; Lionel Barrymore heads a family of eccentrics that allow folks to live at doing what they wish to do; Jean Arthur is probably one of the sensible ones who work for Edward Arnold's firm and his son falls in love with her and wants to marry her; Meanwhile, their home is up for demolition, and things get a bit funky, but in the end, things and love wins all.
