Review of You Can't Take It with You (1938) by Russell G — 07 Sep 2008
Films based on plays usually do nothing for me. Capra makes this one his own. What starts as a class comedy, turns into an idealistic clash. Fantastic, and nice to see Lionel Barrymore as a lovable grandfather as opposed to the villainous Mr. Potter.
