Review of You Can Count on Me (2000) by Rory J — 20 Jun 2007
I'm no fan of realism, but this film just nails it! No sentiment is ever pushed too hard, and the relationship between fuck up Terry and responsible Sammi is vividly touching. You see that they are trying to help each other, even when they let their guards down.
It is also very well shot, subtely adding drama to every scene.
