Review of You Can Count on Me (2000) by Lina A — 08 Mar 2010
Just watch the all-round excellent acting -- Mark Ruffalo in his breakthrough role as the drifter, and even the cute Rory Culkin, and Matthew Broderick as the uptight Brian. But not enough can be said about Laura Linney, who's just so amazing in her ability to completely disappear into her character.
The chemistry between the actors combined with a script that's so deftly written and captures the human element so well. It made for a touching, oftentimes funny, but an always real character drama.
