Review of You Again (2010) by Bob S — 04 Feb 2013
This film about a young woman, Marni, who is still tormented by her high school nemesis, is painful to sit through. Bell stars as Marni and is simply unqualified to carry her own feature. Her timing was off on all the jokes and she was portrayed too much as slapstick rather than authentic.
I can't single out Bell when Curtis and Weaver were equally uncomfortable in their roles. No one seemed to realize that the performances were so unnatural - a great example is all the jogging scenes with the actors flopping around with such poor form.
Now that you know how I feel about the acting and directing, the story itself wasn't anything noteworthy either and I had little interest to see how events played themselves out.
