Review of Yossi & Jagger (2002) by Raymond C — 24 Jun 2007

A+! This is in my top tier of not just gay movies, but movies in general. Although the movie is short, its straightforwardness and length never compromised the emotion and tenderness of the story. The characters had great chemistry, and the story flowed and developed without seeming protracted or abrupt.

For a 71 minute movie, this was amazingly profound, and it packed as much if not more emotional punch (without being too dramatic) than many of today's 2- or 3-hour+ epic blockbuster dramas. I do confess though that I had different ideas for the ending.
