Review of Yossi & Jagger (2002) by Marta K — 04 Aug 2010
"Yossi And Jagger" happens quickly and the character's affection for each other never really impacts. Yehuda Levi ("Jagger") has enough charisma to carry the majority of the weight, but his co-stars really let him down.
The most wonderful sequence is early in the film; it's the snow fight scene between the title characters. The tenderness and fun of that scene disappears shortly after that. When Yossi chooses to keep Jagger's homosexuality and their relationship a secret from the latter's mother, it seems appropriate because the movie didn't make it seem like there was that much for Yossi to say.
And if he did wish there was more to say, then Ohad Knoller (Yossi)really dropped the ball.
