Review of Yojimbo (1961) by Bryant R — 16 Aug 2008
The beauty of Japanese Samurai films is that, unlike American Holleywood, the Japanese have not lost what western culture lost a long time ago, and that is honor. It is so steemed into Japanese culture and it is something to be praised.
My favorite part of the movie is the fact that Sanjuro, the samurai, comes to a town just to earn some money and ends up risking his own life just to set things straight in the town. This is all excluding the fact that the cinematography and music were excellant.
