Review of Yojimbo (1961) by Jake J — 14 Feb 2009
A fascinating exploration good vs. evil. Hands down, one of my favorites.
The setting, lighting and weather are used to such a masterly effect that they are almost characters themselves.
The use of multiple narrators is interesting, but it is with their conflicting accounts of a single event that the story truly matures.
