Review of Yojimbo (1961) by Jesse V — 06 Mar 2009
A good one. It actually reminded me a lot of Sergio Leone's westerns considering the characters, dialogue and music (a notion that I later found justified since one of the Dollar trilogy movies is reportedly based on Yojimbo).
It would be nice to know to what extent the comedy is intentional - it's kind of hard to tell due to the age of the film and cultural differences.
