Review of Yojimbo (1961) by Cesar A — 19 Feb 2010
Another Kurosawa classic. Classic film about dueling clans in a village and the stranger who finds himself mixed up in it. Memorable characters and a twisting plot keep first time viewers glued to what's unfolding onscreen while the layers of complexity and nuanced acting draws and teases repeat viewers on every subsequent screening.
By film's end there is not much more that one can ask for in term of cinematic satisfaction.
