I hasten to add i`m not a fan of kurosawa's samurai films. i`ll take drunken angel or rhapsody in august over that stuff any day. the script for yojimbo is basic but somehow still scattered. moments that could've maybe added to the weight of the film are schizophrenically played for comedic effect.
