Review of Yojimbo (1961) by Joe L — 17 Sep 2010
Total Freakin' Classic. This movie is so awesome in so many ways it's no wonder Sergio Leon decided to remake it to kick off his man with no name trilogy (fistful of dollars). The movie is paced perfectly and follows a nice mix of wonderful characters and humour all connected to Toshiro Mifune who is a total one man badass.
This is up among Kurosawa's best films ever. Wonderful script, wonderful atmosphere just perfectly executed film. Yojimbo is amazing.
