Review of Yojimbo (1961) by Ben A — 06 Nov 2011
Re-reviewing this film appropriately. This film is perfection. The lighting and photography are astounding and the level of comedy that exists in this feature couldn't be more appropriate. While watching Yojimbo, I never felt like it was being corny.
Nor did I feel like it was pretentious in any way, and that is a breath of fresh air. The shot with the trotting dog with the hand in it's mouth is one of my new all time favorites.
