Filled with action, comedy and a tale of swords, samurai and gangs Yojimbo is not only a great film but has clearly influenced North American Westerns immensely. The combination of Kurosawa and Mifune is classic.
.. literally and is one that has made for many a great film. Unlike in some films, the comedy here does not seem out of place. It's quite subtle and adds to the film rather than detract from it. This film is highly recommended and should be seen by all and not just those who are fans of samurai films.
