Okay you read correctly, I watched Yogi Bear which really was not my top choice but when I added Chain Letter to my account on Redbox, it said I could rent another one for 50 cents..so what the heck I got the blu-ray format of Yogi Bear.

Okay let me start with the positives: I used to love Yogi Bear and Boo Boo as a child due to my love for animals growing up. Second, its live action and CGI. Third, the message sent to the kids (future generation) that national parks are important and sacred because they provide the habitat for wild life, endangered species and flora.

National Parks are protected and cared for through funding and allocations from the US Government. No suit (corporate America) can purchase its land- thank God! National Parks are so important for generations of people (past and present) and the movie does a good job of teaching that at a kid's level of course.

.Good acting by Tom Cavanagh who plays Ranger Smith- Head Ranger at Jellystone park (hmm sounds so similar to Yellowstone Park LOL), Anna Faris plays Rachel- a reporter interested in wild life around our national parks.

Rachel wants to do a documentary on Jellystone and meets Ranger Smith and of course Yogi along with Boo Boo and she likes them both! Yogi is a CGI, the voice belongs to Dan Aykroyd, Boo Boo's voice is Justin Timberlake.

Andrew Daly plays the city mayor who spends the city's money like there is no tomorrow and decides to sell the park land to some developers. Fortunately Rachels uncovers that Boo Boo's best buddy- a turtle- is an endangered species and tries to stop the mayor from closing Jellystone for good! The park scenes were lovely! I cherish and treasure National Parks because of all the goodness in them, because of what they simbolize.

The negatives: its aimed at children of course! Adults will find it boring but blu-ray may help a little bit. Yogi's antics were funny as he is the master at stealing picnic baskets at the park. Jellystone needs Yogi and Boo Boo for sure but rent it and watch it IF you have kids.

..Otherwise I say pass...
