The film is over-the-top, cartoony, cheesy and really animated. Just like a Yogi Bear movie should be. The plot is rather hap-hazardly put together, but what else can you expect from a cartoon bear that steals pic-a-nic baskets.
Dan Akroyd and Justin Timberlake are hilarious and play their parts perfectly; Andrew Daly and Nate Corddry make a funny evil duo as the greedy Mayor and Mayor's Yes Man; and Tom Cavanagh is at least likeable in his Jon Arbuckle-ish portrayal of Ranger Smith.
