Review of Yi Yi (2000) by Eric O — 15 Nov 2010
Watched this sometime ago while still in college but I still remember that I was struck by the sad and moving story despite its butt-numbing length. The little boy who takes photos of everyday things throughout the movie but with awesome angles is reminiscent of the talented children in the documentary, "Born Into Brothels".
.. both, children in sad situations that are still able to see the world in beautiful ways. So admirable at such a young age... I'm embarassed by my frequent complaining tendencies.
