Review of YellowBrickRoad (2010) by Wally M — 03 Feb 2012
To Play: Don't be in a rush. watch by yourself, or if with one or 2 others, no talking. Have a big screen & a good sounds system. Put the volume up to where the characters can be clearly heard. Start the drinking or whatever when they find that "something". ( You'll know what I mean). And you CANNOT touch the volume.
*Spoiler?*.
I for one would have had the credits first and slowly start cutting to the movie in bits until its all movie and no credits. The end with what he sees: Blackness and the tunnel of white until it fills the screen and the worst sound you can make, with the text "The path is different for all but the end is all the same. This is it. For an old man after cardiac arrest, a child experiencing the end from cancer, mother Theresa on the death bed, A young woman in a plane crash. "Cut for a second to eyes burning.Continued Blinding whiteness and infernal noise "You wanted a frightening movie. Remember this is your end. It might happen now. When you walk out of the theater onto the street. Maybe 50 years from now. When you die:This will go on for minutes. days. decades. eons. Until you almost dissolve in the uncomprehending insanity of the universe. A part of you will be aware of this always.
Always.".
Continue with the scene for at least 5 minutes or what ever the typical length for credits. Make people want to leave, not stay till the end because they cant take the noise and staring at a white screen. I think that would make an impact.
