Review of YellowBrickRoad (2010) by Lindsey W — 27 Oct 2012
One of the most innovative "horror" films I've found in a long long time. While not actually very scary, it kept me watching until the end, my curiosity was teased, and it showcases up classic character conflicts.
Man vs Nature, and Man vs. Man. Holland and Mitton do a fine job of building a mythology, but some of the actors performances fall short. It often feels as if the actors know they are acting. All together I was pleasantly surprised by many of the fresh aspects to the storyline, and the homage paid to "The Shining" at the end is pretty cool.
