Mix Cheech and Chong with Monty Python regulars Chapman, Idle, and Cleese along with Mel Brooks collaborators Boyle, Feldman, Kahn, and Mars in this all-star pirate adventure and the outcome is not nearly as funny as one might expect.

By the way, Peter Cook, James Mason, and Susannah York amongst others also make appearances. Relative newcomer Martin Hewitt plays the son of Kahn and Chapman and the key to Chapman's Yellowbeard finding his treasure again.

Chapman does give the role of Yellowbeard his all, but it's as if he is in a much more serious historical adventure pic, while the rest of the comedians alternate between broad and deadpan delivery.

I was curious to see all these names work together, unfortunately the gags mostly failed to produce any laughter.
