Wow! What a trippy film. Watched this over and over again growing up, loved the fabulous music, the otherworldly feel, and the unique visual style... Although I am biased, as my parents both worked on this film.
My mother is responsible for painting the famous Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds sequence. My father did most of the flying glove animation, and a decent chunk of the Beatles and Meanies. They did run out of budget while producing this film though, and it shows at the end - "It's All Too Much" was right on the money.
