The witty humor, playfulness, and music videos that would likely give flashbacks to anyone who has ever done acid (including, likely, the Beatles themselves) may serve as a distraction to the political and anti-war messages scattered about through a seemingly incoherent plot.
However, the entertainment value of this animated feature cannot be overlooked, and it is a classic band-based feature film. You may like it or you may not, but ultimately "it's all in the mind, y'know.
