Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is typical Bollywood popcorn movie. It has friendship, romance, fun, adventure with some gorgeous location and even an item number with Madhuri Dixit to satisfy your "Return for Investment" entertainment-seeking soul or as Indians call "Paisa Wasool".

There are some messages underlying in the movie, which only people who have experience being at crossroads would understand. I'm glad that the story did not go typical parental opposition/religious strife way, but showed modern youth whose only limitation is what he puts on himself.

I won't write the story, I'd rather people watch it. I personally went to watch the movie to be entertained and I was entertained and felt I got my money's worth. My husband (he is Canadian, hence read the subtitles) also liked the movie being one of those people who had to choose between being close to his loved ones or pursuing his career dream.

All in all, I had a lovely time with my husband watching the movie. I recommend, you take off your thinking cap and put on your feelings blanket, grab a popcorn and a drink, snuggle with your loved one and enjoy the movie because that's what Bollywood Popcorn Flicks are made for.
