Review of Year One (2009) by Corey N — 21 Oct 2010
After some mixed reviews on this from my flixster friends I was wondering if I should even watch this. But I went ahead since I do enjoy some of Jack Black and Michael Cera past movies. Plus Harold Ramis directed this and he makes solid comedy films.
This was not that bad of a film. A comedy about two primitive hunters banished from their tribe and go on a adventure. There are many funny scenes and dialogue through out this film. You get your typical comedy styles from Jack Black and Michael Cera but they seem to work for this film.
A great supporting cast in this to bring the extra laughs. I think I enjoyed the whole Cain and Able scene the best. That was very funny. I got some good laughs from this film. Leave your brain at home and just enjoy this silly film when watching it.
If your not a big Jack Black or Michael Cera fan then you may want to skip it. But otherwise worth at least a one time watch.
