This is different yet familiar. Along the lines of a Mel Brooks bible spoof. Cera and Black are very much themselves, only if they lived in Year One. The timelines are all off, but I hope that people don't focus on that.
It is a comedy. I was afraid all the good lines were in the commercials but there is plenty more laugh out loud scenes and a number of gross out scenes. This is what I was hoping to get from this movie.
No Oscars here. Just fun in a different time.
