Review of Year of the Dog (2007) by Matthew L — 17 Oct 2007
Endearing dark comedy about a lonely, perpetually positive secretary who finds herself lost and confused after the death of her beloved dog. A small miracle of a movie that takes a poignant look at loneliness and the things people do to fill their empty lives.
Director Mike White's quirky sensibilities are keenly attuned to the material.
