Imagine that Nicole Holofcener directed a star-studded Hollywood comedy, and you would get this adorable, low-key Molly Shannon vehicle written and directed by Mike White of Chuck & Buck fame. Terrific art direction and a quiet, thoughtful pacing really set this movie apart from mainstream comedies.
Great use of Laura Dern, and Regina King owns the "girl, please" eyebrow raise that has become her trademark.
