Review of Year of the Dog (2007) by Lucas S — 19 Jan 2008
The trailer gave it the feeling of a quirky romantic comedy that quickly went south less than halfway through the film. Had they originally been upfront about what Molly Shannon's character had become fewer people might have seen it, since "crazy animal activist" doesn't have an incredibly large admiring audience.
Even knowing what it was, it was still a little too painful to watch how she used these dogs to make up for her lack of human love. It wasn't terrible, just not my cup of tea.
