I see some connection somehow between this movie and "Stranger than Fiction". It seems to be an attempt at a serious moving film by a former SNL comedian with a few laughs thrown in. It is pretty moving in some parts if you are a dog person, or have ever gone crazy for any reason.
Molly Shannon's character goes pretty nuts and converts to veganism to impress a man who ends up being homosexual. Then she adopts 15 dogs to over-compensate for her loneliness. I had a friend change over night for a man once.
Yeah, she was crazy too.
