Mike White's directoral debut is like a kinder Todd Solondz film, utilising Molly Shannon's touching and engaging central performance as the lonely office worker who begins to change after suffering the tragedy of her beloved dog's death.
John C. Reilly and Peter Sarsgaard are hilarious as potential suitors who fail to measure up.
