Review of Year of the Dog (2007) by Red L — 12 May 2009
I'm always hoping for greatness when Peter Sarsgaard appears on screen, but sadly it rarely works out. Almost never is this his fault of course, he just happens to show up in bad movies. Here is yet another example where he shines for a few moments, but doesn't have nearly enough screen time to save this desperate little movie.
The characters around him are pitiful, with the main character going the opposite direction most leads in this type of film would go: from a seemly normal, likable person to a misled and annoying psycho.
